Six Easy Steps to Purchasing a Firearm from AK's Online Store
Step 1 - Choose a firearm on our website: Choose from the selection of firearms we have listed for sale online in our online store.
Step 2 - Add it to your cart, and check out with your mailing address: When you check out, specify your own billing address during the payment process. You will be asked to specify your FFL dealer (see step 3). This is where the firearm will be shipped to so that you may process the necessary paperwork to receive your gun. By purchasing a firearm from us you acknowledge that you may have to pay your dealer a fee for transferring the gun to you. An order confirmation will be sent to you after checkout.
Step 3 - Locate an FFL dealer near you: Locate a Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer near you that will accept the transfer of the firearm for you. This can be your local private dealer, Gun Shop, Gun Range or Pawn Shop that holds a current FFL license and will process your transfer. Select the FFL you would like your firearm shipped to during checkout. If you do not know which FFL you plan to use at the time of check out, please choose the option, "My dealer is not listed, and I will provide a copy of their FFL license". If you are in the Moberly, Missouri area you may also choose "Local Store Pick Up". Please be aware that we must charge Missouri sales tax if you pick a gun up from the retail store, or if shipping to another FFL Dealer within the state of Missouri. (You should see this amount calculated into your order before you complete your purchase).
Step 4 - After you choose an FFL dealer please have them email/fax their address/license to us: You or Your dealer will need to email (ffl@aksguns.com), or fax (660) 372-1872, a copy of their license (FFL) to us.
Step 5 - We ship your firearm to your chosen FFL dealer's address: Once we receive payment for the firearm and a copy of your FFL dealer's information, we will ship the firearm to their mailing address.
Step 6 - You pick up your firearm at your dealer: After your FFL dealer receives the firearm, you will complete the background check at your dealer's place. Be sure to inspect the firearm to make sure it is exactly what you ordered. If there are any problems, do not accept the transfer. We will gladly have the firearm picked up and returned to us at our expense. Once you accept the transfer, the firearm is considered used and must be returned directly to the manufacturer for warranty repair, or replacement. Any unauthorized returns to www.aksguns.com after accepting the transfer from your dealer will be subject to a 20% restock fee, no exceptions.
Note: Most FFL dealers charge a small fee to perform the transfer, ranging from $15-50. You will be responsible to pay their fee.

Firearm Returns - Please take your time to inspect all firearms thoroughly before proceeding with the transfer. Once a new firearm is transferred to you it is considered used, even if unfired. We cannot provide a full refund for new firearms once they have been transferred into your possession. Also, we do not reimburse FFL transfer fees on returned items.
We do understand that some manufacturer defects may not be identifiable upon initial inspection. However, upon discovering a defect after the transfer, the firearm must be returned directly to the manufacturer for replacement or repair (in accordance with manufacturer’s warranty policy). By sending a defective firearm directly to the manufacturer, you can avoid the unnecessary transfer fees of returning the firearm to us through your local FFL dealer.
